Navigating College Life: Tips for Coping with Stress
I've discovered a wonderful way to cope with stress - by keeping a reflection journal or a walk through faith journal. As you can see in the illustration below, it's been an incredibly helpful tool for me.
The instructions are quite straightforward! Simply reflect on the Bible verse that resonates with or encourages you. If you're new to walking in faith, journaling, or Bible study, don't worry. Below, I've provided ten Bible verses for you to choose from.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him." - Psalm 28:7
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." - Romans 12:2
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." - John 14:1
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13
Note: This is how I cope with my stress, but it may not work for everyone. My story and values involve reconnecting with God.
